Bio

Born 1972 in Dallas, Texas, Philley has lived and worked in Austin for more than a decade. She completed the BFA program in painting at Hunter College, NYC, in 2005 and also earned a BA in journalism, 1995, from Southern Methodist University. She is a founding member of the artist group IngrainedATX, is a member of New York Artists Equity Association and works out of Mothership Studios in San Marcos. She was recently awarded Best in Show at 620 Arts for her painting "Drought Tolerant II," and has been featured on many arts media programs, including KUT’s Arts EclecticGlasstire and Voyage Austin. Her paintings and collages are part of corporate collections in New York, Texas, North Carolina and Germany, as well as private collections in Texas, New York, California, New Jersey, Kansas, Minnesota, Canada and Spain.
