You are invited to a winter solstice ceremony on Dec. 21st, from 3:45 to 4:45pm
Before the sun sets on the longest night of the year, join artist Alicia Philley for music, candlelight and blessings at her site-specific installation The Seeds We Plant.
Philley has invited local musician Andrea Cortez to provide a meditative harp soundscape. Mari Bird, founder of Village Yoga Sanctuary SouthATX and Divine Thai Massage Therapy will offer a blessing of the surrounding nature. After lighting candles to call in light, everyone is invited to walk the trail. The sounds of nature and string vibrations will accompany the show of golden winter light illuminating reflective paints on the artwork.

Created by Alicia Philley with support from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, it remains on view through April 2023. The fluctuations of seasonal light and nature lifecycles create a unique viewing experience for every visit.
